PartyGolem: All-in-One Event Hub

PartyGolem is a one-stop mobile app designed to streamline event planning and media sharing. It enables users to create events, send invitations or email blasts, assign electronic tickets with QR codes for attendees, and facilitate event photo and video sharing with privacy and security in mind. The app leverages AI for smart content moderation and recommendation, while ensuring WCAG compliance for accessibility.

My Role

I led the UX strategy and design execution for PartyGolem, ensuring seamless event management, AI-driven content moderation, and secure blockchain ticketing.

  • Conducted user research through interviews and surveys
  • Created user personas and journey mapping
  • Designed the user flow and task flow
  • Developed wireframes and prototypes in Figma
  • Conducted usability testing and iterated based on feedback
  • Collaborated with developers for design handoff
  • Integrated accessibility and inclusivity best practices
  • Researched and proposed blockchain-based ticketing for fraud prevention

Problem Statement

Event planning and media sharing often feel disjointed, requiring multiple platforms to manage invitations, ticketing, and content sharing. Users need a seamless solution that integrates these aspects into one app, ensuring convenience, security, and accessibility for all event participants.

Value Proposition

PartyGolem provides an all-in-one platform that simplifies event planning while ensuring secure media sharing. Key benefits include:

  • Effortless Event Management – Create, manage, and promote events from a single interface.
  • Seamless Guest Engagement – Send invitations, manage guest lists, and track attendance.
  • Secure & Private Media Sharing – AI-powered moderation filters out sensitive content, while users can report inappropriate media for removal.
  • Fraud-Proof Ticketing – Blockchain-based QR tickets prevent duplication and unauthorized resales.
  • Inclusive & Accessible – Designed with WCAG compliance in mind to ensure usability for all users.

User Research

Understanding user needs was key to shaping PartyGolem’s features. We conducted surveys and interviews with event organizers, social users, and media professionals to identify pain points and goals. Insights from this research guided our design decisions, ensuring a user-centered approach.

Design and Ideation

The design process focused on structuring the app’s features based on user needs. We utilized AI-driven solutions to enhance the user experience while prioritizing inclusivity and security.

Mind Mapping

I created a mind map to visualize key features, including AI moderation, blockchain ticketing, and accessibility enhancements.

Task Flow

We refined the flow to include AI-driven event recommendations and media moderation.

Information Architecture

We structured the app around five main sections:

  1. Event Scheduling – Create and manage events.
  2. Guest Management – Invite, track, and communicate with attendees.
  3. Promotion Tools – Share event details across platforms.
  4. Media Sharing – AI-powered moderation for secure content sharing.
  5. Blockchain Ticketing – Secure, non-transferable QR code tickets.

Wireframing and Prototyping

We used Figma to create wireframes and prototypes, enabling rapid iterations and user testing. Hand-sketched wireframes helped with quick feedback, while high-fidelity screens ensured an intuitive final design.

Usability Testing

To refine the user experience, we conducted usability testing with a diverse group of users. Tests were conducted remotely using Maze and Lookback.io, focusing on task completion rates, accessibility compliance, and overall usability. Based on feedback, we iterated on features such as media filtering and ticket scanning efficiency.

Implementation and Development

I collaborated closely with developers, using Zeplin for seamless design handoff. The front-end was built with React Native, ensuring a smooth experience across iOS and Android. AI moderation tools were integrated to analyze and filter media uploads, ensuring compliance with content guidelines and user privacy preferences.

Impact and Results

Early user testing showed a 30% improvement in event setup efficiency and a 40% decrease in fraudulent ticketing due to blockchain implementation. Users praised the AI moderation feature for simplifying media sharing without compromising privacy.

Conclusion and Future Steps

PartyGolem bridges the gap between event management and secure media sharing. By leveraging AI and blockchain, it provides an inclusive, seamless, and secure experience for all users. Future enhancements will include predictive analytics for event engagement and expanded accessibility features to further refine the user experience.
