Chris absolutely rocked it with the Cargill APAC DataViz Challenge. Even though he was just volunteering, he jumped right in and took ownership of the design front. His event announcement and final showcase posters are absolute game-changers: they weren’t just good-looking; they connected with everyone. It’s no wonder the Challenge had such a big turnout and went on to become the most participated-in regional Data Challenge we’ve ever run – and a lot of that buzz is thanks to Chris’s knack for nailing designs that click with people. Chris was the product designer in our project Contamination Analytics. When he joined the running project, he showed a high understanding of the application and immediately came up with ideas to ease the user experience of our tool, aside from his main responsibility to create the design for new features. Chris can speak “technical language” but as well “user language” which makes it easy to work with him. He is always looking for feedback and turns it into improvements for the product. Chris is our UX Designer/Developer at Standard Chartered Bank. Using his knowledge in design systems, he was able to deliver design practices which follows the existing branding guidelines of the bank into the UI Framework. He is able to speak the language of Frontend Developers and can implement his own interactions beyond designing which opens up new design possibilities.
